Setting the Standard for Home Inspections in Yellowknife

Meet Your Inspector

Choosing the right home inspector can be difficult… Unlike most professionals, you probably will not get to meet me until after you hire me. Furthermore, different inspectors have varying qualifications, equipment, experience, reporting methods, and, yes, different pricing.

One thing for sure is that a home inspection requires work — a lot of work. Ultimately, a thorough inspection depends heavily on the individual inspector’s own effort. If you honor me by permitting me to inspect your new home, I guarantee that I will give you my very best effort.

This I promise you.

Sincerely,

Dave Earle

Yellowknife's Premier Inspection Services

Certified, professional and dedicated – I am committed to providing a thorough and complete inspection of your home or building. My services include a non-invasive visual inspection of the foundation and basement, roof, attic, heating and water systems, electrical and plumbing systems, as well as the general condition of the structure itself. I will look for poor construction practices and make note of any repairs that might be required or any general maintenance issues. Most importantly, I will make note of any fire and safety issues that need to be addressed and educate you on the overall condition of the property.

Buyers Inspections

For most home sales an inspection is required by your lender or is a condition in the offer. My pre-purchase inspection covers both the exterior and the interior of the home using visual, non-invasive methods and includes a comprehensive report including pictures/videos which will be presented to you following the inspection of the property.

Pre-Listing Inspections

It’s almost as stressful to sell your home as it is to buy one. You receive an offer and it’s subject to an inspection…..you start to wonder if there’s any surprises you don’t know about that could affect the sale of your home? I offer peace of mind with a pre-sale report so you can act on any potential issues that could block the sale of your home.

Home Maintenance Inspections

A home inspection isn’t just for when you’re buying a home. Even after you’ve lived in a home for a few years you still want to bring in the services of a professional home inspector. The best built homes also need preventative maintenance – and frequent home inspections can help you detect the best time to do so.

Radon Testing

Radon is an odorless, colorless, radioactive gas that can enter your home through cracks in the foundation, walls, or gaps around windows and doors. It is produced naturally from the decay of uranium in the soil, and prolonged exposure to high levels can increase the risk of lung cancer. According to Health Canada, radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in Canada, responsible for about 16% of lung cancer cases nationwide.

The Best Modern Report in the Industry

Our Spectora reports can be viewed on any device!

I encourage my clients to walk through the home with me, I understand that you may be too busy, and may not have time to do so.

Regardless of whether or not you attend the inspection, I will compile a comprehensive Spectora report, which includes all of the information you need to determine the condition of the home.

I will deliver my report within 24 hours of the conclusion of your home inspection, so that you can quickly access a full overview of my findings – and discuss them with me and your agent.
